Atomic abs or ption spectroscopy (AAS) analysis is based on the abs or ption of ultraviolet and visible light by the outer electrons of the ground state atom in the gaseous state, which provides the quantitative analysis of individual elements in the sample.

Amount of material required:

2 gram in powder form with microwave digestion and 8 grams with four acid digestion. If the sample needs to be crushed and softened, 15 grams and 50 cc of the sample as a solution are required for analysis.
